For almost all of my life, I have lived and worked as a photographer in Oxford. Since the 1970s I have written thousands of lyrics in the corner seats of coffee bars and pubs of my home town. I have always admired the solo work of John Lennon, whose confessional writing informed my own work. I think that, in art, the personal document is important and valuable.
