26/ nothing will be the same

Let me be with the one who wants me,
beside a mountain stream,
listening to the waters tumbling.
I know everything has to die,
and when we go
we arrive at nothing.

And up she sat on the warm sands,
in her white costume,
book across her lap.
After the hot summer comes the dark thunder,
down to where we are.

I know nothing will be the same again.
